Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Choose models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
When I tested the S1, it was able to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them and even managed to drive across thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one move. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station if needed.
The robot is simple to install and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand-vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically filled or empty. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up most debris and even the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors, and leaves a huge margin between obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and streamlined. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, change mopping and suction power settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. You'll require a stable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always be able to reach every particle of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, and especially to remove dust from corners and on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home WiFI network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on price by eliminating mopping and using a cheaper plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've ever seen at this price, despite not being able to clean your floors. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. robot vacuum cleaner is one of the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area rugs, but it couldn't remove kitty litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. This device also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you would like to keep out of the app.
